MICHELLE ( Episode 2 )

 The Christmas party soon came to an end. It was a huge success. Sarah had immediately rushed to the restroom to make sure no one would see her crying. Her awful plan came out really messed up. She wished the ground would open up and swallow her , when Michelle was introduced to the school as the prom queen. She felt like her whole world had crumbled most especially as she saw Henry stretch out his hand to grab Michelle's. Sarah had so much admired Henry. She really wished she was the one in Michelle's place. 

Meanwhile, Michelle smiled all through the program thinking of a perfect harmless revenge she would pull on Sarah. Michelle waved endlessly all through the program. The program was soon over. It's time for me to return the shoe. When she had undressed back to her school uniform, she began looking for Henry so she could return the heels. She found him amongst junior students who were congratulating him. Immediately she approached, the juniors fled  . Thanks a lot. She beamed a smile. You're welcome, you know Cinderella was actually looking for her glass slipper and found it in the custody of the prince. " Be my Ella, let me be your prince charming" Henry said. Michelle couldn't help but laugh out loud. Very, very funny. She said. I'm serious, not joking. Please think about it. He said. She only shook her head and walked away.

Michelle went home that day feeling so tired. She narrated the day's event to her mother because she agreed to pick her up. And did you find the heel ? Her mother cut in . No, I'm so worried. We the functionaries are meant to be in school tomorrow, so I will search thoroughly for it. Michelle got home that day still thinking of what to do to Sarah. "Just let her be " One mind told her .Of course not, she has been getting away with all  these things. You can't leave her just like that. Another said. Michelle was thinking all through the night. She saw a text message on her phone. Good night, Cinderella. Sleep like you're sleeping beauty. The sender was Henry. Cunning Henry. She thought aloud.

The next day at school, Michelle arrived late. She had overslept. She saw that everyone was already sitting. There was Sarah sitting next to Henry. Gosh ! She said with irritation in her eyes. She picked a sit at the back . Henry upon seeing Michelle stood up and went to sit beside her. The eyes of all who was present followed Henry. Sarah was confused, she had been making passes at Henry for more than a year now but Henry never saw her that way. He only insisted on being friends. When did Michelle and Sarah become so close ? She had a look showing dismay  . Must Michelle be everywhere?  Why should her name ring bells in my ear everywhere I go ? Sarah asked herself questions upon questions. She wasn't ready for this kind of competition. Academic competition alone was already too much for her to bear. 

"Good morning, Ella,How are you?"That was Henry. "I'm okay" Replied Michelle. So have you hm agreed to be my Cinderella?? Henry asked Michelle who only avoided answering the question. Saw your text last night, couldn't help but laugh. Michelle said. My Ella, we will talk later. Let's pay attention to what Mr. Johnson is saying. Sarah would always look back each minute to eye the two. Imperfect, tasteless, unreasonable fellows. She said to herself. Michelle was fully aware of what Sarah had for Henry and she was avoiding any drama at all.

Michelle got home and thought about Henry. I could get back at Sarah through Henry. He will be my weapon against Sarah. So sorry, Henry. I'm afraid you'll have to get trapped in this rivalry between Sarah and I. I'm going to make sure Sarah feels so embarrassed like I felt the day before. Michelle smiled to herself. Looked at phone. There was 5 unreplied messages. They were all from Henry. He's damn serious. She said and slept off.
